Abstract

In this paper the usefulness of the psychiatric diagnosis of schizophrenia is questioned and the application of the behavioural, methodology in the evaluatin of this disturbance is presented. We emphasize the functional analysis of positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia, in order to elaborate explanatory hypotheses that are operative and that provide new alternatives in the treatment of kind of disorder.
