In this work will offer an overview of the history of theoretical development of Circumplex models in clinical psychology and their most resonant applications. The first Circumplex model was developed in the 50´ and since then this model has taken its place as an alternative to category models for personality evaluation. The most important applications of these models has taken in clinical contexts as an interpersonal diagnostic model and a complement to psychotherapy intervention models. Among those models relevant to this study, of particular interest are those of L S Benjamin and J S Wiggins, not only for their intrinsic structure but also for the research they have inspired.Downloads
