Abstract

Available data on social and demographic changes of Spanish families
show that, similarly to countries, our”s is characterized by an increasing
diversity in family structure. The article is a reflection on the need to accept the
concept of family within the notion of diversity. It also summarizes the results
of different studies that have explored the degree of acceptance of non- traditional
families.
