Models and dichotomies in social intervention

Abstract

The purpose of this article is not so much to present and revise the characteristics of a group of models useful and valid for social intervention, as to recognize the existence of a series of ontological, epistemological and methodological dichotomies that underlie the models. These options determine the type of techniques and methods that are implemented during the intervention. Some of the positions are, in consequence, considered more valid than others.
