Abstract

The new educative reality of our centers needs to become aware from the presence different cultures and requires to take care of special form the social-affective dimension of the students pertaining to minority groups. The objective of this work is to study and to analyze thorough the educative necessities that they present and they demand the students
magrebíes immigrants of our community with the intention of improving the attention to the diversity in the educative centers. According to the Report of the Defender of the Town (2003), the academic results of the students magrebíes immigrants are inferior to those of the native one, for that reason we have been centered in the analysis of two key
factors, self-concept and the sociability. We have found significant differences in the variables “Social self-concept”, “Consideration towards the others”, “Social retirement” and “Social anxiety/timidity”. Our data demonstrate in the students immigrants little social interactions and a level of smaller integration. The students immigrants perceive themselves with difficulties to obtain and to maintain friends, they feel isolated and timid what explains a smaller social sensitivity and preoccupation by the others.
