On a psychological approach to aging

Abstract

In the last century the aging bas become a very important social problem. The old are one of the most excluded group in spite of the efforts addressed to cover their basic needs. This paper put forward a psychosocial conceptualization of aging as a frame to offer several keys to fit for available resources to this group. Especilly, new ways of intervention addressed to improve its quality of life in a frame of community integration are presénted.
