.Abstract
The University Council, through Group XV, has worked on reorganising education-related studies to offer specialisations with clear professional significance. The proposed degree in psychopedagogy appears as a second-cycle qualification, accessible provided that certain credits have been completed from different first- or second-cycle programmes (e.g., a diploma in psychology, primary school teaching, other teaching degrees, etc.). It would incorporate the current specialisations in school guidance, special education, and educational psychology. Therefore, rather than a new degree, it represents a reorganisation of existing academic and professional areas.
César Coll, as secretary of Group XV, provides his perspective on the degree and the debate process that has been followed.
