Abstract

Over the last three decades computer resources have gradually been introduced into psychological intervention. The contextof cognitive rehabilitation has probably been one ofthose in which this has occurred in a most intensive way. The continuous development of computer systems, the increasingly positive results of cognitive enrichment programmes and a greater demand of assistance for people with disabilities are some of the factors that have roused the interest of practitioners of different specialities in this field. The present article presents an introduction to cognitive rehabilitation software, while discussing some theoretical essential concepts and analysing a series of specific instruments considered representative of present approaches in the field.
