Abstract

In this telematic age, technology can bring the client/patient closer to the Internet even in very different geographical areas without distance being a barrier to psychological support. The technologies not only allow us to be closer to the people we love also the way in which we relate to ourselves and to society. The technology has been implemented in almost all areas of our lives. This work highlights the possibility of include the work as a psychotherapist with new technologies and aims to be a bridge between technologies detractors and the followers. The article aim to highlight the technological revolution and its applications to psychotherapy, compare on-line psychotherapy with traditional psychotherapy, verify if it suits with APA regulations and explore the strengths and weaknesses about on-line psychotherapy.
