Abstract

In this work we show some special features and derived implications of the most recent verbal formulation of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as your practice, that are, since our point of view, a relevant heuristic for clinical behavioral psychology. Specifically, the special features of ACT and derived implications of its verbal formulation and practice from the point of view of the author are: a) the function of philosophical and theoretical foundations in therapeutic system; b) the nature of basic research and applied work; c) the nature of human suffering; d) the fundamentally strategic character of psychological intervention in clinical psychology; e) the nature of ethical dimension of professional work.
