Assessment of a Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit through ratings made by Patients with Schizophrenic Disorder

Abstract

This study consists of the administration of a questionnaire to 74 schizophrenic patients. The purpose of this work was to determine their perception and satisfaction with the following aspects: treatment efficacy, human and material resources of the unit, quality of personal relationship and support provided. In our conclusions we reflect upon the utility of this type of studies. We highlight the importance of the opinion of people who use these services for the assessment of the quality of mental health services and as a complementary element in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the prescribed treatments.
