.Abstract
For the second consecutive year, the Congress of the Spanish Society for Comparative Psychology was held. This time the meeting took place in San Sebastián on 7 and 8 June. It was sponsored by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the University of the Basque Country, and their Department of Basic Processes and their Development, with the organising committee formed by Professors G. Alonso, J. A. Iraola and A. Espinet, of the same Department.
The Congress was opened by Professor R. M. Church of Brown University (United States) with a keynote lecture on the phenomenon of time perception in animals, providing a critical review of the psychological, biological, and mathematical–formal theories developed to date as explanatory attempts of this issue.
