Radically Open Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT) is a transdiagnostic treatment aimed at patients with over-control problems. These people are characterized by emotional inhibition, impulse control, compulsive need for structure, cognitive rigidity and rule-governed behavior. This therapy focuses on chronic and treatment-resistant pathologies such as depression, anorexia nervosa and personality disorders from clusters A and C. To promote the psychological well-being, this therapy develops radical openness and skill training on deficit in social signaling. The aim of this work is to provide a bibliographic review on the scientific literature on RO-DBT. It offers an explanation about its foundations, objectives and working methods, in order to take a glimpse of the novelties that RO-DBT provides. It is completed by various studies on the application of this treatment as well as their results.
