Abstract

In this article, the present state on behavioural modification of children and adolescents is analyzed from the viewpoint of the following areas of research: 1) Specific characteristics of behavioural therapeutics upon these ages, 2) Recent contexts of application, and 3) Future developments. The bibliographic review of the last years shows that behavioural techniques have widened their field of application. In addition to the classically treated infantile and juvenile disorders, the behavioural methods consider general health problems of children and adolescents, under the scope of preventive programs.
