.Abstract
This paper focuses on the study and prevention of stereotyped behaviours (mannerisms) known as blindisms in blind children, which may lead to behavioural disturbances and learning delays. Blindisms highlight the importance of early intervention through stimulation techniques from the moment the impairment is detected, in order to foster the appropriate development of congenitally blind children from the earliest stages of life.
