Abstract

In this article are presented the results of an initial clinical test about the efficacy of a constructivist therapy applied to cases of gender violence. Sample is so small (n7). All the women live in a rural scope and come from a low socioeconomic context. The aim of this work it to sketch the viability of a therapeutic intervention on gender violence based in a constructivist-systemic approach. We are interested in verify if therapy: a) reduces symptoms; b) generates new useful constructs. Symptoms were evaluated with Beck Anxiety Inventory, Beck Depression Inventory and Derogatis’ Symptoms Check List. Grid Technique was used to assess changes in constructs elaboration. Results confirm a significant reduction of the symptoms and the emergency of more collaborated constructions during post-treatment assessment.
