Sexual Abuse: Symptoms and Consequences.

Abstract

The sexual abuse as a crime, framed within contexts of sociopolitical violence, admits in terms of a traumatic event that it leaves serious alterations in the health of the survivors. The consequences in the victims leave devastating effects during
all their lives, altering their mental, physical, and sexual integrity. This article reviews the main results that sexual abuse leaves in women regarding the symptomatological level. Contexts of re-victimización and general positions are presented with
regard to the topic in the research area.
