Social research in the community social services of Huelva. Task, context and relevance

Abstract

This paper begins by describing and evaluating a specific experience of “social research on reality” carried out by the community social services of Huelva, before situating it within a broader, contemporary perspective, in the legal and political framework of social services in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. The aim is to analyse not only the text of the experience but also its context. In a second phase, the paper attempts to outline the relevant research to be conducted by professionals within these teams, based on their foundational positions within the public social services network, and to identify complementary research that could be developed from other potential positions.
