Abstract

Since February 1984, the Infant Service of the Virgen del Rocío Children’s Hospital in Seville has been implementing a programme focused on the hospitalised child, aimed at preventing the effects of hospitalisation and illness in general. The first activity to be launched was the Hospital Stimulation Unit, and its initial results are presented in this paper.
