Reviewers' guidelines
Please evaluate the quality and originality of the work you have been asked to review.
With regard to quality, pay particular attention to the following aspects:
1. Quality of content:
- The title and the abstract reflect the content of the work.
- Clarity and coherence in each section and in the work as a whole.
- Timeliness and relevance of the reference sources used to frame the work.
- The objectives are relevant and coherent with the methodological decisions.
- All methodological details are presented clearly, following a rigorous procedure.
- Quality of data analysis. Order, clarity and relevance of the results presented.
- Consistency in the discussion and conclusions in relation to all previous contributions.
- Critical analysis of the limitations of the study.
- Implications of the work's contributions for professional intervention or the development of new research.
- Where relevant, assess whether the authors incorporate a sex/gender analysis in the different sections of the work and address its relevance in the research design, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions and limitations of the study.
2. Formal quality of the work:
- Publication standards are met.
- The title and abstract are easily understandable.
- The length is appropriate for the quantity, quality and novelty of the information presented.
- Tables and figures are relevant and provide information that is not redundant with the text.
- Tables and figures are easily understandable and contribute to improving the communicative effectiveness of the article.
- The references are complete and those cited in the text match those listed in alphabetical order at the end of the work.
With regard to originality, please assess:
- There is no evidence of plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
- The approach, objectives, methodological approach and/or results are sufficiently original and relevant to the subject matter studied to justify the interest of publication.
- The interest and usefulness for the academic and professional community interested in advances in psychology.
Conflict of interest
Should a conflict of interest be identified in relation to the work under review, the journal must be notified and the judgement on the suitability of the article and its recommendation for acceptance or rejection must be withheld.
In the event of proposing citations or references that pertain to one's own work, or that of one's team or research group, it is imperative that this is solely undertaken for scientific reasons. The objective should never be to enhance one's own visibility or that of one's collaborators.
It is imperative that the following statement be included with each review:

Confidentiality
It is imperative that the confidentiality of the work to be reviewed is maintained at all times. Information regarding the review must not be disseminated to other individuals, even subsequent to the publication of the article.
