Orientation in Cognitive Psychology

Abstract

The purpose of these pages is to guide readers interested in cognitive psychology. The aim is to show how this new discipline emerged, on the one hand, from the crisis of behaviorism, and on the other, through contributions from other fields of research. The evolution of this new paradigm over the past twenty years is also examined, with particular emphasis on studies of memory, given its central role in cognition. For each topic addressed, we cite works that we consider particularly relevant.
