Abstract

Hoarding disorder (HD) is characterized by excessive acquisition of possessions, inability to discard possessions, and excessive clutter. This disorder has been conceptualized as a symptom or subtype of obsessive-compulsive disorder and currently its classification is controversial. Few studies have examined cognitive difficulties specifically associated with HD. Our aim here is realize a cognitive study on a case of HD and to comment the alterations presents in this case and to identify characteristics that separate it from other disorders that present pathological hoarding. The different found alterations and the distinctive characteristics of the HD are commented in results and conclusions sections. These studies this seems to be a good strategy for to know more of this type of disorder.
