Abstract

In the present article, we describe the case of a professional basketball player who presents a decrease of his performance after suffering a panic attack. The excess of responsibility about his health, his performance and the wellness of the team are variables which can have a relationship in the suffering of the panic attack. We present the procedure used in which we evaluated the sportsmen’s state and worked with relaxation techniques, rationalizing irrational thoughts, stopping obsessive thoughts, exposing to fearing sensations and situations, and hardening positive aspects of the sportsmen and his performance.
