Abstract

Writing psychotherapy session records could be useful not only for collecting and storing data about that sessions but in order to improve the therapeutic process scientific dimension and effectiveness, as much as to facilitate communication between professionals involved in a same treatment plan. Some of these functions of psychotherapy session records would be very valuable at public mental health services. This paper analyzes what requirements has a session record to fulfil in order to carry out such functions, and suggests a writing record form for individual psychotherapy sessions which try to fulfil these requirements.
