The migratory movements that take place nowadays into current globalization bring as a result the settlement of culturally different communities in host societies. This settlement entails an intercultural contact between host population and immigrants but this contact is not free of psychological difficulties for the people who experience it, arising a complex and multi-dimensional adjustment process that affects immigrants harder most of the times. From the acculturation model proposed by Berry (1990), in current paper we have pretended lo find out in the influence of the acculturation strategies started up by immigrants over their process of psychological adaptation in the new culture. The results obtained show us that those immigrants who choose the integration strategy gel the best indicators in the adjustment process.
