Family Therapy’s development in Andalusia, from my teaching and researching experience

Abstract

This article presents the developmental milestones of family therapy in Spain and listed the steps in the creation of the Spanish Federation of Associations of Family Therapists. At the same time shows the steady presence of subjects related to counselling and
family therapy training in Spanish at the University and shown to extend this network to other European countries. The role of family therapy research in our context, the creation of the Spanish Association for the Development of Family Therapy, as well as new challenges in this field are analyzed.
