Psychological intervention in a foster home

The present paper describes the characteristics of a foster home for children at risk and the methodology used in the psychological intervention used with them and their families. The psychological profile of the children and the kind of maltreatment they most frequently suffer are also described. Other information includes the most frequent types of pathology found in the members of their original families, protective actions adopted and the importance of the psychological, social and educational reports in this kind of interdisciplinary intervention.
