This article presents a psycho-social-epidemiological study using family soctal risk indicators, carried out within an ecological and systemic framework that considers social risk a circumstance resulting from interactive dynamics within a human community. 296 reports were selected out of a total of 500 sent during 1995 by the community social services of the province of Seville to the Family Programmes of the Seville Diputación.The sample included those reports that contained enough information to analyze all of 45 risk indicators previously defined and their interactions. The result is a profile of families attended by the programme, characterized by the presence of social and economic problems, problems in the family structure, housing difficulties, health problems, drug abuse, low educational level and family violence.
