.Abstract
The problems generated in the primary prevention of illnesses in which the specific forms of acquisition, facilitation or infection are known, are, basically, of a multidisciplinary nature. In the solving of the said set of problems —centred in the adoption and/or abandonment of certain types of behaviour— the intervention of the psychologist seems justified. Following this line, the present article consists ofa brief reflection on the said intervention from the perspective of the functional analysis of behaviour developed by Skinner. Finally, the above mentioned analysis is put forward as a powerful and valuable tool for tackling health problems.
