This paper addresses the application of brief dynamic psychotherapy in district mental health teams (ESMD), as devices that respond to the mental health needs of a community. Once the characteristics of these teams and of this form of psychotherapy have been identified, we conclude that such techniques are highly suitable, for various reasons, for use in the public sector. At the same time, we examine the epistemological foundations of planning, as we understand and apply them.
