Abstract

Social awareness of environmental issues and the depletion of natural resources has mobilised multiple scientific disciplines to propose solutions. Psychology is not exempt from this, and alongside its traditional goal of helping humans adapt to their environment, it now aims to help humans achieve a quality of life in accordance with their needs.

This paper presents an urgent perspective on the contributions of environmental psychology, outlining different research and intervention approaches.
