Response of a group of Down’s syndrome children to an Early Childhood Intervention Program for learning to read

Abstract

This paper presents the follow-up in reading realized to ten children with Down’s syndrome of a centre of infantile early attention (CAIT), with the target to determine on one hand the coherence degree of the methodology of reading that begins with them in the CAIT on the part of the colleges and for other one evaluating his level of reading three years later. After the results we think that the children present delay in the reading. In this context, the work that we sense beforehand announces the results obtained in the program of Early Attention that carries out in the Association Down’s Syndrome of Jaen, after the process of observation of the early learning of the reading.
